Jon Arkin Online Class: Intro to Pure Data

An introduction to and exploration of the free & open source software Pure Data—the powerful, yet accessible graphical programming language for musicians & composers (no coding required), which enables a vast palate of expressive possibility in live performance contexts. Students will learn fundamentals of the Pd environment, explore built-in help examples and the wealth of open source contributions from the community, and discover ways of designing their own effects, synthesizers, and musical interfaces.
